Hear Him

Could somebody turn the light on, please?!

Could somebody turn the light on, please?!

What is your usual reaction when you walk into a room that is in darkness? Do you fight the darkness, get into a debate with it, find out exactly how long it’s been there and where it comes from? I don’t think so! You simply turn on the light.
Darkness simply has to leave in the presence of light. And amazingly enough, the light simply reveals that which has been in the room all along, but was just not seen.

Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Joh 1:9 There was the true light, even the light which lighteth every man, coming into the world.

The life of Christ revealed, shone light upon who we really were – He did not come into the world to display what we could not do, couldn’t hope to attain and how dark we actually were – He turned the light on! His life was the light of men.

How glorious His light is – Psalm 36:9 For with thee is the fountain of life: In thy light shall we see light – How wonderfully it reveals what the Father has seen all along!

With this in mind, how do we deal with man’s behaviour and the ‘darkness’ in people’s lives?
2Co 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2Co 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
Let’s awaken life – show them who they really are (whose minds the god of this world has blinded), communicate worth , not insufficiency and lack, not what they are not doing, or who they are not – turn on the light!

God wants us to know the things that He has freely given us!
That's why we have this Scripture text: No one's ever seen or heard anything like this, never so much as imagined anything quite like it-- What God has arranged for those who love him.
But you've seen and heard it because God by his Spirit has brought it all out into the open before you. The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along.
Who ever knows what you're thinking and planning except you yourself? The same with God--except that he not only knows what he's thinking,
but he lets us in on it. God offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us.
We don't have to rely on the world's guesses and opinions. We didn't learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through Jesus, and we're passing it on to you in the same firsthand, personal way. 1Co 2:9-13
You will know the truth, and the truth you know will set you free to live the life He’s always intended for you.

2Co 4:5-7 Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we're proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you.
It started when God said, "Light up the darkness!" and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful.
If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives.
